The Pearl Izumi Barrier Skull Cap is the warmest full coverage, cold weather cap available from Pearl Izumi. It's intended for those super cold days where you probably should stay inside, but the thought of that first race of the season pushes you back out onto the roads. The Barrier Skull Cap is made from two parts which work together to keep your head sheltered from the wind and rain while giving it the thermal protection to keep your body temperature at the appropriate level. First, the front panel is made from windproof Barrier fabric so that your forehead and most importantly your ears will be protected from the howling wind. This section has been ergonomically cut so that the ears receive a touch more fabric protection and you won't have to worry about the lobes peeking through. The fit is designed to be snug so that there will be no mid-ride slippage exposing your ears. The second section at the rear of the cap is made from P.R.O. Thermal fabric which will act as an insulating element for the back of your head. Anybody with thinning hair or perhaps a military cut will greatly appreciate this particular element. Of course if you sport the opposite stylistic option, a slot has been provided to be compatible with ponytails. The Pearl Izumi Barrier Skull Cap comes in Black and One Size fits all.
